Supporting the next generation
Who we are
About Us
Ladies for Legacies started as a group of women volunteering to uplift local youth. We have since grown to include both men and women, but our passion hasn’t changed. We believe no child should go without.
Annual Events
April
Bike Blessing may 18, 2024
Meet at Santa Maria Harley- Davidson 9am & kickstands up at 10 am sharp for a ride down Broadway to Pioneer Park
In 2023 there were 936,809 licensed motorcycle riders in California. 1 fatality is too many. There were over 500 fatalities and >8,600 injuries. Our Bike Blessing brings riders in our surrounding areas together for a day of fun and being blessed. There is a pastor who prays over and blesses each bike and its rider(s).
July
summer bash & backpacks
TBD
Any youth is one decision away from being “at risk”. We are here to bridge the gap and show our local youth they do have a tribe that cares. This is an end of Summer event for local youth to enjoy and leave with something tangible, a backpack full of school supplies. Last year we gave out 200 backpacks!
October
Poker run & toy drive
October 2024 Starting Point SM Harley-Davidson ending at Pioneer Park. Date & time TBD
Local riders come together for a great ride and game of Poker! Ending at Pioneer Park for our End of Run Fun. Partnered with Santa Maria Harley-Davidson, we collect toys for distribution locally to those in need.
There are 32,537 students enrolled in 4 school districts for the 2023-2024 school year. Of those there are 24,357 categorized as “in need”. A child will never believe they matter or can achieve their dreams if their basic needs are not being met. A family can fall into “in need” for a number of reasons. We have been there and are here to help.
